On December 14, 2021, Senator Ben Ray Lujan, and Senator Martin Heinrichs from New Mexico introduced federal legislation called the CCM-CARE Act of 2021. It is known as Senate Bill 3390. The legislation calls for increased funding of research and care for cerebral cavernous malformations (CCM) and prioritization of the illness by the Food and Drug Administration.
