CCM Clinical Care Consensus Guidelines aim to educate patients, care providers & physicians; increase the level of patient care; and support the establishment of Clinical Centers of Excellence.
These guidelines benefit the patient and clinical communities by providing a comprehensive set of consensus guidelines for CCM diagnosis, monitoring, and for the treatment of lesions or their manifestations, such as epilepsy or hemorrhage. The authors include clinician members of the Alliance to Cure Cavernous Malformation Scientific Advisory Board and invited experts.
A Synopsis of the Guidelines is available online and in print in the May 2017 issue of Neurosurgery.
The full-length consensus guidelines, similarly peer-reviewed by Neurosurgery, also identifies knowledge gaps and controversies of opinion within the current practice that influence the best clinical judgment in individual cases.
